People who know us know we are regulars at Disney World. In general, on most trips to Disney we also visit Disney Springs shopping district. There has been a Lego store in Disney Springs for years. We always visit this shop. In the past we were fascinated by the detail achieved in replicating world landmarks in plastic bricks. Another benefit of visiting the store was its abundant air conditioning, a great break on many humid Florida days.
In my past two posts I hinted at my knee bothering me while in the Smokies and Asheville. In my family we've learned not to mess with knees. When we got home I called the orthopedic practice and was there in a matter of days.
Well, I had the best of intentions this year to keep my blog updated on a regular basis, but then there was a pandemic. We have pretty much stayed at home since March 8. We are both working from home. You would think that means misadventures would not happen, but a pretty wet one happened last weekend.

My Blog is One Year Old Today!
Last night I was watching a re-run of a Friends episode. During the episode the battery in Phoebe’s smoke detector died in the middle of the night. Well, my life went on to imitate art last night. Yes, believe it or not, I was soundly sleeping at 3:30 am this morning and then…Beep. Beep. Beep.
I remember my grandparents had a set of glasses that said “When life gives you lemons make lemonade”. As a kid I didn’t understand how profound that statement can be when you are an adult. The 10 year old me thought it was a pretty simple concept – what else would you do with lemons after all?
We awoke Tuesday, September 5 to the news and realization an unwelcome guest was coming over the upcoming weekend named Hurricane Irma.
